The warmest and softest blankets, including the Hernando model, are made in Peru from 100% baby alpaca wool, a Peruvian llama. Its fleece is famous for its softness, high strength and breathability, as well as a beautiful silky sheen.
Alpacas live in harsh mountain conditions, so their down is unusually warm. No pellets form on the blanket, it will have a long service life without losing its original beauty.
The palette of natural tones of this delicate fleece - black, beige, gray - allows you to create beautiful blankets in natural shades without the use of artificial colors. The edges of the Hernando are hand-sewn with contrasting threads. This treatment is reminiscent of the famous ethnic style alpaca wool textiles for which the Peruvian Indians are famous.
