An unusual placemat News is made of durable polyvinyl chloride. It consists of two layers: the first layer is a solid base on which the next layer is applied creating a relief texture of the surface.
The dense material od News is elastic and very durable, resistant to scuffing and does not deform. Such placemats do not absorb water and are easy to clean.
