THE PERFECTION OF NATURE BY TOGAS
The Desert King
The Bactrian two-humped camel first appeared in the long-vanished Bactria, between the Gindukush mountains and the Fergana valley, and has lived for thousands of years in various regions of northern Asia.
The farms where we shear the softest and warming wool of Bactrian camels are located in the Mongolian province of Goby-Altai, in the Tugrug region. This is where the Hos Zogdort breed resides. It is famous for its high-quality, soft, and long wool.

Purity of youth
We only collect the finest wool and undercoat where the diameter of fibers only reaches 16-18 microns. Only one-year-old Bactrian camels have this wool, and their ability to regenerate wool at this age is the highest.

Gentle touch
The maximum length and fineness of the fibers provide incredible softness and uniformity of the camel’s wool and give unique tactile sensations. The undercoat of yearlings has a very special value. Its softness is comparable to some cashmere varieties.

Embrace the Warmth
We all know and value wool for the warmth that it gives us. The unique fiber structure of the Bactrian camel’s wool forms many microscopic air pockets that keep warm air inside.
What can be more reliable than protection created by nature itself?

Natural exchange
Bactrian camels are sheared at the beginning of summer when extreme cold weather gives way to the heat of the sharply continental climate of Mongolia. The most important part of the process is the skill of the shearer. According to the standards of our partner farms, one Bactrian camel should be sheared within 15 minutes. Thus, the animal experiences the least amount of stress.
By removing the massive wool cover in the summer, we help camels with thermoregulation. This is also an effective way to protect the camels from parasites because they simply do not have enough time to start spreading in their wool.
